Software Developer – Web & Digital Systems
General description HARD
HARD is a multidisciplinary formula student team consisting of motivated students from a variety of different studies from the Hanze UAS and University of Groningen. As a team we try to build a race car which we can compete with at a formula student event. HARD has different teams, where the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and driverless engineering teams fall under the engineering department and the marketing, event and acquisition teams fall under the communication department. All volunteers spend one or more years with the team in order to apply the theoretical knowledge they gathered in a practical environment.
Description of function
As a Software Developer within HARD, you will work on the digital platforms that support and promote the team. This includes developing and maintaining the team website, internal tools, and digital systems that help the team operate efficiently.
This role focuses on improving the online presence, infrastructure, and data tools of the team, helping HARD grow its visibility, manage information more effectively, and support collaboration between team members.
Depending on your interests, you may work on:
The Hard website and its features
Backend systems for managing data and team information
Internal tools for team management
Sponsor and partner pages
Data dashboards and visualization tools
Integration of APIs and external services
Performance and reliability improvements of the team’s digital infrastructure
Within this role you may contribute as a Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, or Full-Stack Developer depending on your experience and interests.

Work across both frontend and backend systems, helping design and build complete features from the database to the user interface.
